A Moment Where Hearts Are
Beautifully Connected

The character 「友」 (tomo) represents friendship in Japanese, and its reading "yuu" also resonates with the English word "you."
Its origin lies in the image of two people taking each other’s hands and offering support.

Within this single character, we place our belief that true connection transcends borders, languages, and the color of one’s skin.

The traditional crafts of Ishikawa, including Kaga Yuzen, Yamanaka lacquerware, and Kutani porcelain, have been carefully passed down through generations.

Each piece is a testament to the dedication and refined spirit of the artisans who created it.

Guided by that same sense of craftsmanship, we have woven Ishikawa’s artistry into our space and shaped it with the Japanese culture of omotenashi, a hospitality defined by sincerity and grace.

Our wish is to form lasting connections with all who visit us, heart to heart.
For this reason, we chose the name 「友」 (You).

May the time you spend here become a quietly unforgettable moment, one that remains with you long after your visit.

The Significance of the Folding Fan

In the Japanese tea ceremony, the folding fan serves as a symbolic boundary.
By placing it between the host and the guest, a space of respect and refined etiquette is established, reflecting the highest regard for those we welcome.

Live Koto Performance

The koto, a timeless Japanese string instrument, has been cherished by noble women for centuries as a symbol of sophistication and grace.
Its delicate, resonant tones capture the essence of Japanese elegance. Experience this serene beauty firsthand through an intimate live performance, leaving a lasting impression on the heart.

Matcha Tea Ceremony

Every gesture in the Japanese tea ceremony reflects thoughtfulness and beauty, making it a uniquely serene Japanese art. Witness the spirit of harmony captured in a single bowl, and savor the experience fully with all your senses.

Kaga Yuzen Artwork

Kaga Yuzen, cultivated over centuries under the samurai culture of Ishikawa Prefecture, is renowned for its five signature colors: crimson, indigo, ochre, grass green, and ancient purple. These realistic patterns embody the subtle elegance of Japanese craftsmanship. At You, we depict the seasonal beauty of Kenrokuen, one of Japan’s three great gardens.

agebue (Shadow Flute)

The Kagebue is an enchanting art form where light, shadow, and sound merge, creating a space to perceive the unseen with a heightened awareness.
It evokes contemplation of the lingering silence and the subtle echoes that remain after the music fades.
This distinctive cultural expression is born from the delicate sensibilities unique to Kanazawa.
At You, the performance is set among the graceful shadows of bonsai trees, adding an intimate and captivating atmosphere.
